Helsinki

The Finnish capital in different seasons

Maarit Salolainen's collection under the same name, created in collaboration with Venesto, is a woven fabric with memories of the Finnish capital in a way no tourist has ever seen it.

Mood of the city

Long walks on the quays, sonatas by Bach and Sibelius, the smell of the sea, a dog running alongside and grass in the forest covered with the first hoarfrost.

Each fabric has its own character and a special design, drawn by nature itself and carefully recreated by Maarit. Their combination made it possible to create a collection which is European, environmentally friendly, thoughtful and original. A little secret: the designer personally walked around the city and took photos, which later formed the basis of the catalog.

High quality

The main materials used in the production are wool, linen, viscose. The polyester in the composition makes the fabrics comfortable for everyday use. Due to this we achieve a balance of high quality and a pleasant price.

Helsinki palette

The Scandinavian palette of the Four Seasons reveals the city through the colors of all four seasons. A frosty day in early winter, the crunch of thin ice, the cloud-covered sky, and at the same time, the promise of spring, the snowdrops dreamt on a January night. Then summer will come: tree crowns reflected in water, days when the sun does not go below the horizon, long evenings on the pier. Autumn scatters the colors of the fallen leaves, which after a while disappear again under the snow.

Autumn in Helsinki

The palette of October is Autumn night. The autumnal night, the reflections of sunset on the lake, the cool evenings when you most want to make black tea with thyme, sit in a deep armchair in front of the panoramic window and watch the sun disappear over the horizon.

Winter in Helsinki

Snowfall. Winter. In winter, the line between the worlds blurs. The snowfall begins, the water turns into a mirror, the trees are covered with silver, the sounds of the piano are woven into the lingering silence. Under the downy blanket, special dreams - too similar to reality, too magical to come true.

Spring in Helsinki

Everything changes. Even the air is different in early spring - it has a freshness and an unfamiliar sweetness. Early Spring. A new beginning. The cries of seagulls on a stony beach, sunshine that does not warm you up, but gives you hope that this April will be different.

Summer in Helsinki

White Nights, Sunset in August. Scandinavian summer, ripe strawberries, white nights, August sunsets. The sea wind ruffling the sleeves of the plaid shirt, the warm cliffs overlooking the bay. The feeling that time and life are infinite.
