Silk Road

Bright threads as the embodiment of the "Spice Route" that emerged on the Silk Road

The sateen and the threads woven in imitation of wild silk are like scattered spices and are no less precious, because the way the new Eutergerling fabrics from the moment of the idea to the moment of its realization is enormous.

Inspiration in spices

Where caravans brought Europeans spices, fabrics, gems and ivory, it was customary to celebrate life and spring. The locals painted everything around them in bright colors at the festival of Holi, sought to give each day a different flavor and paid special attention to spices, an interest that quickly picked up in Europe as well.

The colors of Holi

But it's not just the spices that are felt in the Silk Road collection. Next to them, the colours of the Indian festival Holi, which is celebrated in India and Nepal, unfold and flourish on jacquard sateen in an unusual design. The popularity of this festival of fun, during which everyone dances and paints each other with bright colors, has long gone beyond India, and it has also become part of this collection.

Design solutions

It is a special pleasure to look at fabrics close up, admiring thought-out contrasts, like grains scattered on a cloth, which emphasize the difference of textures and bold harmony of shades. The absence of contrasts in the case of similar tones gives the fabrics a special charm: the direct light visually darkens the convex inserts, and when the glare leaves the base, they become much brighter, showing their color in full force.

Hidden Illusions

Discovering the theme of scattered grains and made on a restrained, shiny base, the dots made of matte thread are notable for their volume. It allows you to create a fine rapport effect with a faint pattern, but the optical illusion encrypted in the threads can be seen only from a distance.

51% cotton provides the fabric with a very tactile quality.

A perfect fit

Both fabrics are quite soft, but in drapery they are distinguished by beautiful folds. The fabric, imitating wild silk, has texture, a heterogeneous structure, uneven knotty thickened threads. Sleek and smooth satin with decorative elements, on the contrary, contrasts with the dyed multifiber threads. Each fabric not only looks impressive and pleasant to the touch, but also supports the overall concept of the catalog, which celebrates life in full force: rich, full of colors and flavors.

Intelligence and practicality

The collection has taken the best from natural materials, but it is based on artificial ones. This approach allowed to avoid the weaknesses of wild silk: both fabrics do not lose their qualities under the influence of sunlight and do not require complex care. The width of 3 meters and the ability to gain in fabrics in both height and width make them as practical as possible.
